Jackie M. Tang

Jackie M. is a Malaysian-born, Sydney-based former restaurateur and award-winning cookbook author who specialises in Malaysian hawker food.

She is the founder of Masters of Malaysian Cuisine (MOMC), a global group of elite Malaysian chefs who came together during Covid lockdowns to promote Malaysian food to the world via live videostreaming.

Jackie has appeared on numerous TV shows in Australia and overseas, and is often consulted by media when it comes research and opinion on Malaysian food.

Is the 5-Day Laksa Challenge suitable for beginners?

Absolutely! Our Laksa Challenge is designed to cater to all skill levels, including beginners. Jackie will guide you through each step with easy-to-follow instructions, and because the sessions are Live, you will be able to ask her any questions during the Q&A component.

How does the 5-Day Laksa Challenge work?

Once you sign up for the challenge, you will receive a welcome email with instructions on what to expect. When the challenge starts, you will receive an email each day for five consecutive days. Each email will contain a new Laksa recipe and detailed instructions on how to tune in when Jackie goes Live.

What if I miss any sessions?

While we would prefer that you catch each session Live so you can engage with Jackie and ask questions, we understand that's not always possible. If you do miss any of the sessions, you will be able to access the recordings for 24 hours, after which it will be removed. There is an opportunity for you to buy the entire series (bundled with other goodies), so that you can watch and rewatch all the content in your own time, which we will share with you later.

Can I interact with other participants during the challenge?

Yes, by signing up to this challenge, you will be invited to join Jackie's Thermomix community of cooks like yourself; you can connect with other participants, share your experiences, ask questions and exchange tips and ideas, and even post your own Laksa challenge photos (we will be picking a winner at the end of the challenge to receive a special prize courtesy of Lenovo).

Is the Laksa Challenge available internationally?

Yes! The 5-Day Laksa Challenge is available to participants worldwide. Regardless of your location, you can join us and experience the flavours of Malaysia through our virtual platform.

What if I have technical difficulties or need support during the challenge?

Our tech guy and MOMC co-founder Paul Gray is available to assist you throughout the Laksa Challenge. If you encounter any technical issues or have questions, simply reach out to us via email or in our WhatsApp group, and we'll respond promptly to ensure you have a smooth and enjoyable experience.
